Bernie Taillon, CPA

BERNIE-TAILLON-office-portrait-FIF-tighter-cropBernie graduated from Indiana University’s business school with a degree in finance in 1993 and has been helping people with their investments and taxes ever since.  He started his career as a financial adviser assisting small business owners with their investments and retirement plans.  Since the daily recommendations and decisions that Bernie makes for his clients are so important, he decided that he should seek the highest level of professional certification – the CPA.  In 2003, Bernie took the CPA exam and passed it on the first attempt.

He now brings an even higher level of advice, and consistently implements tax-planning strategies for his clients to lower taxes and save more for retirement.  The commitment to small business owners Bernie demonstrates has been recognized in Denver Magazine, 5280 and Forbes Magazines and he has shared his tax knowledge with the audience of Channel 9 News.

Bernie’s hobbies revolve around beer.  He has been brewing beer since 1991 and has won countless awards for his brews.  He is also a certified beer judge and spends many weekends judging beer at competitions throughout the state.  It is a common scene to see clients leave the office with a complimentary bottle of Bernie’s award winning beer!

 

Beth Taillon, Client Services Manager

BethAs an assistant to Bernie, Beth is the first person you should call if you have questions about the financial or tax planning process. She aids in tax preparation, client communications, and investment paperwork.

Beth has a business degree from Indiana University, and has years of experience in managing numerous employees. This enables her to keep the team running smoothly.

Beth’s priority is to ensure our clients receive the best possible service.

 

 

Louise Hartford, CPA, MT, MAFF

LouiseLouise Robar came to Triad Tax in 2013. Being the daughter of a CPA and a graduate of Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business and University of Denver’s Masters of Taxation program, Louise has accounting and taxation in her blood. She started her career in bookkeeping, and went on to get her CPA license in Colorado and Hawaii and is also a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics.

Louise currently works with our tax clients.

Louise’s passion is learning our clients’ stories so that we can do the most effective accounting and tax planning for each client.

 

 

Russell Webster, Enrolled Agent

RussellRussell Webster was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He spent the majority of his youth playing sports and spending time on the Chesapeake Bay or at the beach. Once he graduated from high school, he left the east coast to attend college at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned his bachelor’s degree and met his future wife. After a few years living and skiing in the Vail area he decided to move to Denver to pursue a career and start a family. Russell is now married with 3 lovely daughters who keep his wife and him quite busy.

Russell Webster comes to Triad after 7 years working the tax resolution industry. He passed his Enrolled Agent exams in 2012 and specialized in negotiating resolutions for small businesses and individuals with various tax issues.

When Russell is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, snowboarding, hiking or anything else outdoors he can find time to pursue.

 

Leslie Humphries, Staff Accountant

Leslie, born and raised in Southern California, began her career in accounting in 1986.  She spent 7 years working with a CPA firm where she garnered an interest in working with small business owners.

Leslie’s clients are her top priority and helping them achieve their goals is her reward.  Before joining Triad Tax in 2012, she spent a number of years working in various managerial accounting rolls including Financial Controller for a local telecom and data company.  In April 2014, Leslie received  her  B.S. in Accounting degree with a concentration in Public Accountancy.

Still enjoying her 2+ decades spent in the accounting field, Leslie also enjoys  traveling, reading,  going to concerts and spending time with her husband, Kevin – married since 1993, and their three children – Dallas, Dillon and Holly.

 

April Loretz, Staff Accountant

AprilApril joined our team as a Staff Accountant in October of 2009.  She received her bachelor’s degree in business management/accounting from Arkansas Tech University and comes to our team with more than 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting services.    April specializes in Quickbooks accounting software and is extremely effective in managing our clients’ bookkeeping needs.

April’s priority is to provide each of our client’s with the best customer service and to take care of all their bookkeeping needs in a friendly and timely manner.

April enjoys her time away from Triad with her husband of 24 years, John, and their 17 year old son, Tyler.

 

Meryl Medina, Staff Accountant

Meryl joined our team in January of 2014 when she moved to Denver from her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Business Administration-General Management.

With an interest in accounting, she then sought out to obtain her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She has experience bookkeeping for a property management company along with experience managing a national tax preparation firm.

She is excited to be part of our team and is determined to give every customer a great client experience.

 

 

Rachelle Noack, Staff Accountant

rachelleRachelle Noack was born in Davenport, Iowa. Growing up along the Mississippi River, in a small country town, Rachelle aspired to one day move out of Iowa to a city with more opportunities. When Rachelle was a teenager, she traveled all over the United States and Guatemala on volunteer missions. These missions included traveling up and down the east coast with Teen Missions Int’l, going to Guatemala to build a school/church, and going to Chicago to help do repairs and maintenance on homes for low-income families.

After graduating from Pleasant Valley High School, she went on to become a bartender throughout her early twenties. Leaving her family behind, in the summer of 2011 Rachelle moved from Iowa to Denver, Colorado, where she graduated in May 2014 with a dual degree in Accounting and Business Management from Regis University.

A dean’s list student, Rachelle’s professors describe her as loyal, hardworking, and one to easily crack a joke. After her graduation, she started her family, giving birth to her son James in 2014. When not working at Triad, Rachelle enjoys golfing, reading, camping in the mountains, and going to concerts all around the Denver area.

She is working on obtaining her CPA license and plans on continuing her work at Triad for years to come.

 

Maggie Scheeler, Staff Accountant

Maggie Scheeler has a long history in bookkeeping and accounting. She began her profession in Dallas, Texas then moved to Tucson, Arizona where she honed her skills at a top notch CPA firm. She moved with her family to the Denver area in 2006 where she worked as a staff accountant and office manager for a small firm in Lakewood until coming on board with us in 2011. She specializes in payroll and compliance reporting, with extensive knowledge in QuickBooks, and is an advocate of the small business owner.

Maggie’s priority is to provide each client the best bookkeeping care possible.

Married to her husband Patrick since 1997, spending family time is her favorite out of office activity. Together they have two children, Kailyn and Joshua.

 

Tara Varner, Office Manager

taraTara is a Minnesota native that finally escaped the tundra in 2006. Shortly after moving to Colorado, she enrolled at Front Range Community College to complete her business degree. While finishing her degree, she was a staff bookkeeper for several small and growing businesses.

While in her bookkeeping role, she worked closely with the bookkeepers at Triad. We asked her to join our team in April of 2015 and the rest is history. She has a diverse skill set that includes Accounting, Sales, HR, Customer Service and a smile that refuses to quit! She puts those skills to good use as our Office Manager/problem solver.

When she is not at Triad Tax; she enjoys riding her bike, hiking, camping, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
